茶の湯は千利休によって形式化され現在に至ります。
茶室の間口は狭く、士農工商と階級が定められた時代にあて武士が自然と刀を外して茶会に臨めるようにするためのものでした。

茶道は現在古典ですが、精神上アナーキーな現在性を帯びていて、発泡スチロールを使う事は、この成り立ちからある意味正当性がある。
また苑とは、文学、画家などが集う場所という意味があり、響きの良さとこの意味によって今回のタイトルとなりました。

スイス国境に近い街、bregenzの公園にて制作した。
今回はより会場の環境を取り入れようと、植木を取り巻くように作品を制作した。

This teahouse is made up of scavenged styrofoam. One aspect of tea is a constant re-invention of the practice in contemporary forms. The use of the styrofoam that comes from our reality makes tea ceremony into our contemporary. Another aspect of using such material reflects the aspect of Zen that prevents us from the waste, which enables harmony between human and the natural world.
