人間の生み出した有害で、チープな素材にして、作家がこの素材を取り入れるときに、多くの場合、内側に取り込められてしまう物、発砲スチロール。
この素材を美しいものとして作品化したいとの思いが、梱包という方法で厳重に包む方法になった。
この方法により、この素材に権威のような物が加わり、鑑賞に耐えうる作品になった。

Styrofoam an artificial, harmful and cheap material which is often used by artists
to stuff objects.
I tried to sub1ime this material itself into an art by wrapping it overprotective1y.
It was given a sort of authority to be appreciated as an independent work.
