5年程続けて来た、グレーという色と、コミュニケーション、物として稀薄な存在と不在が曖昧な物を使っての展覧会になりました。
会場は4部屋から構成され、飛行木とタイトルされた作品が1000本、会場を埋めつくしました。
その裏の会場では、飛行木に使用するチリゴミを福井県『原子力発電所もんじゅ』に向かうビデオを流していました。
他の部屋では、映画と全国47都道府県の曇り空の写真を壁1面に貼り込んだ作品。
その足元には茨城県の原子カゴミ処理場から採取したチリゴミで制作した星形。
この他、音楽や電話を使用しての作品も出品しました。

右壁　曇り空

この作品は全国47都道府県の人にフィルムを渡し曇り空を撮影した作品。
僕の中で曇り空と指定した時点で47枚の写真がマットなグレーで全く同じ色をした一色の作品になる予定だった。
しかし完成してみれば日時や天候。
撮影者の曇り空という概念の相違によってバリエーション豊な平面作品となった。
この小さな画面の中に全国の空が納められていると感じてもらい表面的なサイズ以外に抱えている空間をイメージしてもらえればと思うます。
この作品は1997年のスターダストメモリー（開発の場合）の個展で発表しました。
作品は47枚の曇り空を撮影したもので、日本全国の都道府県全ての地域から撮影
したものです。

なぜ曇りなのかは、曖昧さ、中立的、また色素を白、黒と例えるなら、その混ぜ合わせた
色は肌色では無く、グレーになります。
僕にとって、グレーは日本人であると言った意味において使用しています。

左壁　空と空

この作品は白黒写真の空の写真を屋外に半年放置し、自然にさらされ風化した作品です。
プリントされた空の半分以上が雨風、日射によってはがれ落ちています。
人間が生み出した定着された空と事象としての空を対峙して生み出された作品。

床　スターダスト

この作品はもんじの事件以降に起きた茨城の原子力再処理所で起きた事故後にその周辺を掃除し集めた砂ホコリを使用して製作した作品です。

This is the combinations of what I had dealt with for five years, using gray color, communication media and dust as the object of ambiguous existence. The exhibition consisted.of four rooms. In the room titled "Flying Woods" , I set up 1000 pieces of airplane models on the floor sprinkled with the dust I had collected at the nuclear power plant Monju in Fukui prefecture. The whole operation of the dust gathering was filmed and shown in the next room. The walls of the third room were covered with photographs of cloudy sky which I had taken all over Japan. On the floor, there was a star shaped object made of the dust I had gathered at another nuclear power plant in lbaraki prefecture.
A monochrome video signifying the world of gray was shown in the last room.

Cloudy sky:
Cloudy sky was shown in my solo exhibition The Stardust Memory (Kaihatsu's case) in 1997. The work is a series of 47 photographs of cloudy sky, those taken in each prefecture of Japan.
I photographed one in Tokyo and asked voluntary participants to take pictures of other 46 prefectures.
Now I am planning to photograph the cloudy skies of all 50 states of the United States.
For me, gray characterizes Japaneseness: Gray addresses ambiguity and neutrality and the color is actually produced by mixing black and white. It is never a skin color.
